Tiger II(H)

Survivors[]

  • Tiger II(H) fahrgestell no.280243, turret no.332, National Armor and Cavalry Heritage Foundation, Fort Benning, Georgia. Originally captured in Belgium, this tank was displayed at Aberdeen, Maryland, until 1992, when it was traded with the Patton Museum, Fort Knox, Kentucky, for the MBT-70 Pilot No.3. At Aberdeen the left side of the turret was cut out and then patched with wood. At Fort Knox the wood was removed to allow viewing into the turret. The tank was recently moved to Fort Benning, Georgia; and the turret patched over again. It is slated to be restored.
