Panzer III Ausf.N with Schürzen

Survivors[]

  • Panzer III Ausf.N, U.S. Army Center for Military History Storage Facility, Anniston, Alabama. It was formerly at Aberdeen, Maryland, but was recently moved to Anniston, Alabama. This tank is currently fitted with an unknown long 37mm gun, on account of Aberdeen manager G.B. Jarrett. Jarrett took the gun out of a Panzer IV Ausf.D (this Ausf.D is currently at Ft. Lee, Virginia), replaced it with this Panzer III Ausf.N's gun, and fitted the Ausf.N with a 37mm. Otherwise the tank is in bad shape, the left side of the turret is patched over, presumably to cover a hole that was cut out to allow viewing into the turret.
  • Panzer III Ausf.N, U.S. Army Center for Military History Storage Facility, Anniston, Alabama. This tank was also formerly at Aberdeen, Maryland, and was recently moved to Anniston, Alabama. It is severely damaged.
