Completely ignoring Wa.Prüf 4’s demands to stop work on the Mittelerer Waffenträger sFH 18 auf Panther, Krupp produced drawing Bz 3445 on October 12th, 1944 for the Mittelerer Waffenträger sFH 18 auf Panther (dünnwandig) (dünnwandig means "thin-walled"). This was a lighter version of the Mittelerer Waffenträger sFH 18 auf Panther. It had thinner armor, carried only 50 rounds of ammunition instead of 60, and had a redesigned, cylindrical turret. These changed saved 7 metric tons of weight. This design was not accepted and did not advance further.
